For the beautiful manicure is not always needed a professional. The ideal substitute includes a set of instruments, a bit of technique and a lot of patience.
Here is the list of tools:
Nail polish remover – for removing of the nail polish before the basic manicure. Avoid products containing acetone or other chemicals that damage the surface of the nail, weaken and thin the nail plate.
Cotton swabs – for removal of the polish and to wrap the sticks when pushing the cuticles. The cotton swabs have a great absorbent capability and leave no fibers.
Softeners for cuticles – a cream or oil for cuticles. The softened cuticles are easier to push and relax the tightly bonded to the nail itself skin.
The softeners are offered in different variants – from transparent liquids which are applied with the help of a brush to greasy creams that are rubbed into the cuticles.
- cream for cuticles – the rubbing of the special cream in the area of the cuticle (the base of the nail) softens and prevents the appearance of skins. Usually contains fats and waxes, such as lanolin, cocoa butter, vaseline and the beeswax.
- oil for cuticles – the regular application of the oils enriched with vitamin E and almond oil on the cuticles, improves their condition and maintains them in optimal health.
Important: Avoid products containing potassium hydroxide, which damages the nails!
Cardboard files – the bilateral file with flocculent surface is best for shortening or smoothing of the nails, while that with the finely coating is for final shaping of the manicure.
Small bath – for soaking of the fingers. It is filled with warm soapy water.
Hand towel – for drying of the hands and subjecting during the application of the nail polish.
Spatula for cuticles – an instrument for manicure with a rubber tip in the shape of a hoof, which is used for pushing of the cuticles.
Brush for nails – it is used in the morning and evening for cleaning of the hands, nails and cuticles.
Polishing files – available in different shapes and sizes, usually combine in themselves three types of surfaces that help to smooth out any unevenness on the nail plate and give it shine.
Cleaning detergent for nails – usually is used liquid soap, which is added to the bath for hands.
Nail scissors – more sparing for the nails. The scissors is preferable to the nail clippers, if you want to achieve ultimate accuracy.
Cutting pliers – a useful tool for trimming of the cuticles. For precise trimming they must be with sharpened cutters.
Orange sticks – used for pushing the cuticles or instead of a brush for cleaning the nails.
Transparent basis – prepares the nails for the application of nail polish.
Transparent or colored nail polish – the basic layer nail polish in your chosen shade. The transparent nail polish lasts longer, without getting noticed the peeled places.
Protective (top) coat – protective and durable coating for nail polish. Prevents the peeling of the colored polish.
White pencil – the careful coloring with the pencil on still damp nails gives the French manicure a special attractiveness
